- Courses & Descriptions
Over the past two years, in part due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have developed a suite of online training provision in partnership with a number of a number of specialist local council training providers, from finance and planning training to human resources and media relations. We also continue to offer in-house CALC training on a wide range of subjects including Code of Conduct and Chairmanship, both online and face-to-face. Further details of new training courses will be posted on our training pages as soon as they become available and full training course details are circulated to all member councils in our regular training bulletins.

This provides a month by month view of the training, events and meetings which CALC has either arranged or is participating in. If you do not see a course or subject that you are interested in please let us know at training@cornwallalc.org.uk Our training provision is always kept under review as we work on the training sessions we are able to offer over the coming months.

CALC training is currently being delivered both online and face to face.
In-house training which is provided at other locations (i.e. bespoke training for individual councils) is available for individual member councils (i.e. the councillors and officers from the council making the booking). Please email us at enquiries@cornwallalc.org.uk if you would like to discuss bespoke whole council training.
All income generated from training fees goes back into delivering our core services to members. Please note that sessions will only be run if there are enough booked; we will give at least one week's notice if a session has to be cancelled due to low bookings.
If you have any specific requirements or questions please contact the office in advance of the event.
If you wish to cancel your booking please give at least one week's notice to avoid being charged in full. In the event of any emergency on the day please telephone the office.
